The Countryside

Hello all, today I found myself roaming the countryside for Antigua's Mango Fest. Unfortunately, I arrived too late and missed the event, however I did manage to enjoy the sight-seeing around the countryside. Its nice to go for a drive with your entire family once in a while just to relax while enjoying the different oranges and purples of the sunset listening to some jazz by Antigua's very own Charmain Bailey. I had a great time, its such a pity that the weekend is over and I have to go to work again tomorrow. Oh well, such is life.

O J's Beach Bar & Restaurant

So I did promise that I'd publish something about places to eat, and here's my post. This restaurant happens to be one of my favorite places to dine. I love to dress up and go out to eat, and this restaurant provides the perfect environment for a relaxing dinner at the seashore. Left is the grilled chicken breast with rice and vegetables. I must say that I 'licked the platter clean' that afternoon. The service rocked, the food was impeccable and the view, oh, so enjoyable! I am usually a hater of soup, but this is the first restaurant to which I've gone where I enjoyed the soup of the day! It was a pity I hadn't ordered one, and had to beg a 'tastin' from my father.
O J's offers different seating arrangements, for those that wish to dine with the sensation of the sand between their toes, and those that would like an extraordinary view of the ocean and surrounding landscape; or even those that would like to dine under the stars. Just looking at the waves crash on the rocks, watching the crabs scuttle by busily relaxed my soul and gave me a moment to stop and savour life, and the food that was about to come!
So...my birthday is coming up tomorrow. Anyone want to volunteer to take me out...to dinner that is? You now know where to go!
Shell Beach
Antigua

I've started this site because there is a lack of awareness of Antigua on the internet. There was once a really good site, TalkAntigua.com, but it has disappeared. Antiguans no longer have anywhere to vent frustrations or publicly adore their country.
Antigua is a beautiful 108 square mile island located in the heart of the Caribbean. It boasts 365 white sand beaches, 5 star hotels, some great restaurants, and thats not all! Stay tuned for more! Look to the left and you'll see Jabberwock beach, famous for bonfires within the local community, wind surfing and parasailing.
Check back soon, or better yet, come visit Antigua and see for yourself.
